Selected Vacancy: Project Engineer – Morisset, NSW
Gunther Civil has a new industrial subdivision project breaking ground in March 2022 in the Lake Macquarie region and are currently establishing the project team. The project consists of bulk and detailed earthworks, road construction, service/utility installation through to building works.
The Project Engineer will be responsible for assisting the project manager and project team with project engineering, documentation and control, QA, site set out, RFQ, subcontractor onboarding and some construction/ subcontractor supervision. In order to be successful, this candidate should have on site experience, have a high level of attention to detail and work in an efficient and professional manner.
The role is site based in Morisset, NSW, supported by an on- and off-site team including Project Manager, Registered Surveyor, Plant & Equipment Coordinator, Administration Coordinator, HR etc. This position is available now, to commence as soon as the successful candidate is found.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary Qualifications in Civil Engineering (degree or TAFE/Other Certificate)
  • 1 – 3 years’ of experience as a project coordinator, project engineer, or project manager
  • 3 – 5 years of on ground Australian experience preferred
  • Drivers Licence
  • Able to identify and manage delays and variations
  • Understanding of basics of contract management
  • Willingness to grow your role in the business as the project matures
  • Experience in working with a contractor on civil earthworks/infrastructure project including project team, plant & equipment etc
  • Able to read drawings, basic survey and GPS experience, complete pick ups etc
  • Knowledge and practice of current Australian Standards, Regulations etc.
